Clear answers to help you plan your journey
Understanding how to reserve a vehicle and what happens after you submit your booking request.
Enter your pickup location, dates, and times on the homepage. Browse the available vehicles, compare specifications and features, then select the one that suits your route. Fill in driver details and pay the booking advance online by card. You will receive a voucher by email within a few hours confirming your reservation.
The voucher typically arrives within a few hours of payment. It contains the pickup address, contact details of the local rental company, the balance due at collection, and any additional services you selected. If you have not received it within 24 hours, check your spam folder or email [email protected].
Yes. Enter the actual driver's details during booking - their name, date of birth, and licence information. The driver must present their own documents at pickup and sign the rental agreement. The person who pays the advance does not need to be present at collection.
How the payment process works, what you pay online, and what you settle at the counter.
The booking advance is a partial payment made online by card when you reserve. It secures your vehicle and confirms your dates. The remaining balance is paid when you collect the keys. The voucher states exactly how much is due and which payment methods the local company accepts for that specific vehicle.
No. We accept only the advance online. The balance is settled directly with the rental company at pickup. This allows flexibility in payment method for the remainder - some vehicles accept cash or debit card for the balance, others require a credit card. Check the terms for your chosen vehicle and the voucher for details.
We accept major credit and debit cards for the booking advance. Visit our payment methods page for the complete list of card networks and currencies. Cash cannot be used for online transactions.
What happens at pickup regarding the security hold and card requirements.
A deposit is a temporary hold or block placed on your card by the rental company as security against damage or traffic fines. Some vehicles on our platform are offered with no deposit - meaning no hold is placed at all. Others require a deposit, and the amount varies by vehicle. The voucher specifies whether a deposit applies and, if so, how much and on which card type.
No. The absence of a deposit and the level of damage cover are independent. Every rental includes a damage liability limit - often called an excess or deductible. No-deposit vehicles still have an excess; you simply do not need to leave a hold on your card. Read the terms carefully to understand your financial responsibility in case of an incident.
It depends on the vehicle. Some accept a debit card for both the balance and any deposit; others require a credit card. The requirement is listed in the vehicle description and confirmed in the voucher. If you do not have a credit card and the vehicle requires one, consider increasing the limit on your debit card or choosing a different vehicle that accepts debit.
Which paperwork you need to bring and who is eligible to drive.
Bring your valid driving licence, passport or national identity card, and the credit or debit card used for payment. An International Driving Permit is recommended if your licence is not in Spanish or English. The rental company will check these documents before handing over the keys and will note any existing damage on the rental agreement.
Minimum age varies by vehicle, typically 21 or 23 years, and you must have held a licence for at least one or two years. Some higher-powered or specialist vehicles require drivers to be 25 or older. The age requirement is shown on each vehicle listing. Younger drivers may face restrictions or higher liability limits.
Where and when you collect the vehicle, and what happens when you bring it back.
Collection points vary. Some rental companies operate desks at airports like EZE or AEP, others have offices in town, and some offer delivery to your hotel or address. The exact location and instructions are in your voucher. At major airports the desk may be in the terminal or you may take a shuttle to a nearby lot.
Yes. During booking you select the date and time you want to collect. Most suppliers operate Monday to Sunday between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, though hours can vary. If you need collection outside these times, email [email protected] before booking to check availability. Late pickup may incur an extra fee.
Return the vehicle by the date and time on your agreement. Late return may be charged as an extra day or incur a penalty fee, depending on the company's policy. If you know in advance you need more time, contact the rental company using the details in your voucher to extend the rental and avoid fees.
Rules, road conditions, and cross-border travel you should know about.
Cross-border travel into Chile requires written permission from the rental company, arranged before you collect the vehicle. Not all vehicles are eligible, and a fee applies. Request the permit when you book or by emailing [email protected]. Without the permit you will be turned back at the border and may face penalties.
In urban areas the limit is 40 km/h on streets and 60 km/h on avenues. Rural paved roads are generally 110 km/h, and autopistas are 120-130 km/h. Always obey posted signs, which may vary. Traffic drives on the right. Around Buenos Aires many urban highways use electronic TelePASE tolls; the rental company will bill you for any charges after your trip.
It depends on the vehicle. Standard cars are typically restricted to paved roads only. Four-wheel-drive vehicles with high clearance and all-terrain tyres are permitted on ripio - the gravel sections common on Ruta 40 and in Patagonia. Check the terms for each vehicle; damage caused by driving on prohibited surfaces is your responsibility and not covered by the damage waiver.
What to do if your plans shift or you need to cancel your reservation.
Changes depend on the terms of your reservation and vehicle availability. Email [email protected] as soon as possible with your voucher number and the new dates. We will check with the rental company and let you know if a change is possible and whether any fee applies. Last-minute changes may not be feasible.
Cancellation terms vary by vehicle and supplier. Some bookings allow free cancellation up to a certain number of days before pickup; others are non-refundable or carry a cancellation fee. The policy is stated during booking and in your voucher. To cancel, email [email protected] with your voucher number. Refunds, if applicable, are processed to the original payment method.
